What you'll need

Water

Vegetable or baby oil

Food colouring

Soluble tablet (Alka-seltzer or similar)
Step 1
Fill the glass or jar 1/4 with water.
Step 2
Add around 3 drops of food colouring, and give it a stir.
Step 3
Add 1/4 oil to the glass or jar and watch how the coloured water and the oil don’t want to mix!
Step 4
Add the soluble tablet and watch as it bubbles through the water and tries to mix the water and oil.
