Ice Paint

Make some pretty watercolour pictures with ice paints!

    What you need

    Ice cube tray, Lolly sticks, Food colouring and water, Freezer, Paper

    Step 1

    Fill the ice cube tray with water and add some drops of food colouring into each section.

    Step 2

    Place a lolly stick into each section.

    Step 3

    Make room in the freezer, and place the tray into the freezer on a flat surface.

    Step 4

    Once frozen, arrange an area for painting (it gets messy), and have fun melting the colourful cubes onto the paper.

    Step 5

    Let it dry, and see how the colours have mixed like watercolours. These make a great background for drawing paper.
