For a second time, IWFM chose to support Rainbow Trust at their annual black-tie charity ball. Hosted at the Hilton Manchester Deansgate, the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory themed ball exceeded our expectations. From rainbow balloon arches to a real-life Willy Wonka, the long-awaited event did not disappoint.

A special thanks to Mark Muncaster for organising such an incredible event. Thanks to the generosity of Mark and everyone on the night, including the headline sponsor HVAC Recruitment Limited, this epic event has raised over £49,385. This incredible amount was mostly raised through the live auction, along with other kind donations, throughout the evening.

Katherine Brooks, Corporate and Community Fundraising Manager at Rainbow Trust, said:

“I had the pleasure of attending the IWFM North Charity Ball on 7th July. It was wonderful to see so many people enjoying themselves and so many peers reconnecting after some years apart due to the pandemic. A huge thank you to Mark Muncaster, IWFM and everyone who attended for your generosity and support of Rainbow Trust. Thanks to you, families with a seriously ill child can continue to get the vital practical and emotional support they so desperately need.”

Mark Muncaster, Chair IWFM North Region said:

“The Charlie and the Chocolate Factory theme was one I planned back in 2019 but had to postpone due to the global pandemic. It was an incredibly emotional evening having missed the event for the past 2 years, it was fantastic to see so many people back at the event enjoying themselves, networking with new and old colleagues. I’m super proud of what we delivered for the attendees but more importantly the money we have raised for the amazing Rainbow Trust. This was to be my last year as event organiser for the ball but due to a little peer pressure, a great evening, and a glass or two of wine, I have agreed to lead the arrangements for the 2023 IWFM North Charity Ball again supporting Rainbow Trust as our chosen Charity for the region”.

Rainbow Trust is thrilled to be the chosen beneficiary of next year’s ball. We are so grateful for the IWFM’s continued support and we cannot wait to see what theme Mark comes up with in 2023!
