Penny Mancais

Penny is a Consultant General Paediatrician with over 20 years’ experience, currently based at Dorset County Hospital, and is on the General Medical Council specialist register.

Her areas of expertise include epilepsy, early years development, neuro-disability, and the care of children with life-limiting conditions. She has held leadership roles as both Acute and Community Clinical Lead and previously spent six years in primary care medicine with the Royal Navy before pursuing a career in paediatrics.

Penny joined the Rainbow Trust Board of Trustees to contribute her clinical insight and commitment to high-quality, compassionate care for seriously ill children. She is the organisation’s Safeguarding Lead Trustee and is also a member of the Care Committee, supporting the charity’s care standards and safeguarding responsibilities.

Penny is married with three grown-up daughters.
