Charles is a senior executive with over 25 years of experience across law, investment banking, venture capital, and healthcare.
He is currently General Counsel and Business Development at Mereo BioPharma, a London-based, Nasdaq-listed biopharmaceutical company he helped found in 2015, which is developing treatments for rare diseases. His career spans large, medium and start-up businesses across the UK, Europe, and the US. Earlier in his career, Charles worked at Nomura and Freshfields in London, and from 2013 to 2016 he was a member of the Mayor of London’s Digital, Creative, Science and Technology Working Group (DCST).
Charles joined the Rainbow Trust Board of Trustees in January 2022, bringing extensive legal, governance, and commercial expertise to support the charity’s long-term growth and impact.
