We are looking for new volunteers to join our team at our new monthly Drop In Group at the Neo-natal Intensive Care Unit Family Room, providing additional support to families and their children.
Our Drop In Groups help give families time to take a break, have some fun and relax. As a volunteer you can help be part of this great opportunity to get involved in our work supporting families.
This Drop In group runs every other Thursday, from 5-7pm at Queen Alexandra Hospital, Cosham, Portsmouth, PO6 3LY
What's involved?
- Supporting the set up for the session and helping to pack away at the end
- Emotional support for parents and other visitors
- Provide a listening ear to parents and children
What we're looking for:
If you are...
- Great at building relationships based on excellent communication and active listening skills
- Experienced in interacting with people from a wide variety of backgrounds
- Able to offer emotional support to family members (usually adults)
- Able to use active listening skills
- Warm, friendly and enthusiastic
- Able to be punctual

All ages welcome from 18 onwards. We will cover your travel and parking expenses in line with our Expenses Policy.
