Take on England’s finest countryside at your pace! Challenge basecamp is in Kendal, and it’s a 100km looped route taking in a couple of tough hills, the Garburn Pass, historic Ambleside, a half way point by Lake Windermere, forests & nature reserves – with some stunning views en-route – before a huge welcome & celebration back at basecamp after a momentous journey. You’ll get full support & hospitality all the way, optional camping / hostel accommodation – and with 50km half, marathon, quarter & 10K distance options also – there’s a Lake District Challenge for everyone!
Challenge Highlights
A World Heritage site – and world famous scenery, with fells, lakes, and forests – and all in all – the best of England! Kendal, on the edge of the National Park, makes a perfect start/finish base camp for an amazing challenge – with optional pre-event camping & half-way hostel accommodation by Windermere for ‘2 Day & Half’ challengers. There’s also a fantastic, scenic, 10km loop option from Ambleside – and a stunning Trail Marathon option – also finishing in Ambleside.
