The route passes through one of Iceland’s most active volcanic regions and includes challenging mountain terrain and remote campsites.

The Challenge

This is not a sightseeing tour — it’s a demanding trekking expedition designed to test both physical and mental resilience.

Days are long and the terrain can be tough, with steep climbs, uneven lava fields and rapidly changing Icelandic weather conditions. Participants also help with camp setup and pack-down, creating a genuine expedition experience.

The challenge is officially graded as “Tough” due to the demanding terrain and expedition-style camping conditions.
