The AJ Bell Great Birmingham Run is one of the Midlands’ most celebrated running events, bringing thousands of runners together each May to take on a 10K or half marathon route through the heart of Birmingham while raising vital funds for charities across the UK and beyond. Starting and finishing in the vibrant city centre with cheering crowds, live music and an electric atmosphere throughout, this iconic event offers charity runners an unforgettable day of achievement and community celebration.

We need this information as some events have minimum age requirements.

Commitment To Fundraising

  1. You agree to fundraise the minimum sponsorship requirement (exclusive of the registration fee or Gift Aid) and will have raised this/have sent to Rainbow Trust with four weeks of the event.
  2. You agree to fundraising 50% of your minimum sponsorship target at least two months prior to the event, if this is not reached Rainbow Trust has the right to withdraw your place and retain your registration fee if they feel that you are not committed to your pledged sponsorship.
  3. If the minimum sponsorship has not been paid four weeks after the event, Rainbow Trust will contact you to arrange payment of the outstanding balance. This may include, extending the fundraising deadline to allow additional time to fundraise or agreeing a payment plan from your personal funds.

Terms & Conditions

  1. If you wish to withdraw within seven days of registration, Rainbow Trust will refund any registration fees processed through our website. This is only valid if you purchase your event place at least 1 week prior to the event console closing, as stated in your booking form. After this time, all registration fees are non-refundable and non transferable.
  2. If you withdraw from the event, you will notify Rainbow Trust, via [email protected]. This should be done before the withdrawal deadline stated on your booking form. If you withdraw after this date Rainbow Trust will be charged for your place and will contact you to cover the cost of the place that is outlined in your booking form.
  3. As stated in the Code of Fundraising Practice, if you withdraw from the event or the event is cancelled, any funds that you have raised will remain with Rainbow Trust unless your sponsors contact Rainbow Trust directly for a refund. This fundraising cannot be carried forward to another event.
  4. If you are unable to take part in your event and withdraw, we do not accept deferrals to the following year.
  5. Photos and videos may be taken by Rainbow Trust during the event that you could feature in. By taking part you consent to these photos/videos being used for future marketing purposes online and in print and to be shared with the team post event. If you do not consent to having your photograph taken, please email [email protected].

Contact Consent

By providing us with your details you agree to be contacted by Rainbow Trust about this event, you also consent to Rainbow Trust sharing your details with the official event organiser to allow you to complete your registration. If you submit photos to Rainbow Trust from your event you consent to them being used for marketing purposes.

We would love to stay in touch to show you how your gift is helping, with news and information on how you can be involved with our vital work.
