About the Event

The Colchester Stampede 10K is a chip-timed race held at the award-winning Colchester Zoo. The event starts and finishes inside the zoo itself, creating one of the most exciting and unusual race atmospheres in the UK.

The first and final kilometres take place within the zoo grounds, where runners pass animal enclosures and iconic attractions before continuing onto scenic closed-road sections through the surrounding countryside. The route is undulating, with a mix of climbs, downhill sections and flat stretches, making it an enjoyable challenge for runners of all abilities.
