Thank you for ensuring that families caring for a life-threatened child, like Maya, do not have to face the heartbreak, worry and uncertainty of their child’s serious illness alone. After being diagnosed with hypoplastic left heart syndrome, Maya had her first open heart surgery when she was just ten days old. A time that should have been filled with excitement and new baby joy was replaced with regular hospital appointments and worry for Katie, Maya's mum. Thanks to wonderful supporters like you, Family Support Worker Wendy was able to help Maya’s family receive a vital lifeline of support.
