Recycling for Rainbow

In 2009 Rainbow Trust raised over £23,000 from recycling; an amazing amount of money from unwanted items. Rainbow’s four point recycling scheme means that you can support us through recycling your old mobile phone, jewellery, foreign currency or ink cartridges. Rainbow would be delighted to accept donations of all the recyclable materials listed above from individuals, community groups, companies and schools.

Recycling mobile phones

Did you know that there are 60 million unused mobile phones in the UK and only 10% of these are currently being recycled?

How you can help

Every phone that is recycled for Rainbow Trust raises vital funds that could help fund our 24 hour helpline. If you have an old handset that you wish to donate please pop it in an envelope and send it to:

How your company or school can help

Rainbow would be delighted to talk to your company about setting up a take back scheme; recycling company mobile handsets including Blackberrys. Working in conjunction with GSUK, who operate to guidelines set out in its Environmental Management System, a procedural guide that takes into account current environmental legislation, ISO 14001 operational practices and duties set out by WEEE legislation. Rainbow Trust can raise vital funds from your unused and redundant company handsets.

Ink cartridge recycling

Printer cartridge recycling (ink jet and toner cartridges) is one of the easiest way to make a donation to Rainbow Trust. Working in partnership with www.emptycartridge.co.uk we recycle a whole range of cartridges from your own home printer to your office toners. It takes five minutes to register your company with emptycartridge who will place collection boxes in your office and pick them up as often as you like. For smaller cartridge donations we can provide you with FREEPOST envelopes.
