Get your university involved
Our community fundraising team is on hand to offer you practical advice, support and tips to help make your fundraising a success. Read on to get more information about getting your university involved.

Choose Rainbow Trust
There are endless ways in which you can involve your fellow students or RAG committee in raising funds for Rainbow Trust. From head shaves to skydiving, body painting competitions to scavenger hunts, we’re sure you’ll find something that will get everyone motivated and enjoying themselves.
RAG Mega Raids
Mega Raids are a tried and tested way for RAG committees to raise big sums over one day. A Mega Raid is where a large number of students collect cash on the streets, in one city, in one day. If you fancy getting together with your friends, and getting to know a new city on a huge day of fundraising, then get in touch with us. We will happily arrange all the permits that you need to turn a one day fundraiser into a huge success.
Freshers Week
Have you got a jam-packed programme in mind for this year’s freshers? How about dedicating a night out for Rainbow by donating the proceeds of ticket sales or hijacking your union bar to transform ‘happy hour’ into ‘Rainbow hour’? Just £150 pays for a day trip for a worried and lonely sibling and £500 will keep our vital 24 hour help line running for one month.
Special events
Are you part of your university’s Entertainments Committee? Are you involved in the graduation ball, Christmas parties or other Student Union events? If so, you could really help us by adding a fundraising element to an already existing event. By holding an auction or a raffle, donating a small percentage of your ticket price or holding a bucket collection as people leave at the end of the night, you could make a real difference to the number of families we can support.
