Rainbow family values

In today’s hectic world it is very easy to forget just how much our friends and families do for us. When families are very busy looking after a sick child Rainbow Trust steps in to provide day to day practical support to keep the families going.

"Great Ormond Street saved my son's life. Rainbow Trust saved mine."

The 'Rainbow Family Values' challenge encourages children to think about how important it is to be there for one another and to learn more about the work of Rainbow Trust whilst raising vital funds to enable us to continue our work. By focussing on family values we hope children will learn more about how they can make a positive contribution to each other’s lives.

Take part in the challenge

It is entirely up to those taking part to decide what they’d like to focus their family values challenge on. All we ask is that everyone tries to use the letters of RAINBOW in their pledge, and when a pledge has been fulfilled a friend or family member comments on what has been done.

Some ideas

  • Repay a kindness
  • Assist a family member or friend
  • Inspire someone else to do something
  • Nurture a pet or a plant
  • Bring out a smile in someone
  • Offer to help a family member or friend
  • Write a letter to an elderly or sick relative/friend
