Gold Challenge

What’s it all about?

Gold Challenge is a charity challenge in which participants must cover a target distance in one or more Olympic sports. It is perfect for anyone wanting to kick start their New Year’s resolutions or those who have been inspired to try a new sport by the London 2012 Olympics.

Participants can take part individually, as a family or as part of a team. Simply follow the 3 steps below and start counting the kilometres.

1. Choose your target distance from those below:

  • 2012 km
  • 201.2 km
  • 20.12 km

2. Choose the method in which you would like to complete your target distance from those below:

  • Running (jogging, road-running, on a treadmill or on a track)
  • Walking (on a treadmill, on a track, rambling or hillwalking)
  • Cycling (in a gym, on a track, on the roads or off-road)
  • Swimming (in a pool or in open water)
  • Canoeing/Kayaking (inland or offshore)
  • Horse riding
  • Rowing (on a rowing machine or on water)
  • Sailing (inland or offshore)
  • Windsurfing (inland and offshore)
  • Wheelchair (track, road or in a gym)

3. Register your challenge and set your fundraising target on the Gold Challenge website here

There is no registration fee to take part in Gold Challenge and we will be on hand to support you with any materials you need to help with your fundraising.
