What's it all about?
The Great British Bike Ride 2012 will be staged from Land's End to Twickenham Stadium from Tuesday, August 28 to Saturday, September 1, 2012. The five day ride is designed for all cycling enthusiasts, sportsmen and women who want to take on a real challenge and at the same time raise much needed funds for Rainbow Trust. Excitingly Phil Vickery, former England rugby Captain has now joined the team for the Great British Bike Ride.
Competitors competing in the five day ride will have all accommodation, facilities, food and support provided. The GBBR Team will take care of everything so that riders can concentrate on the event and enjoy the huge challenge ahead of them.
The overnight stops will be hosted by local rugby clubs and a tented village will be ready and waiting at the end of each day, with hot food, drinks and the hospitality only rugby clubs can offer. This exciting event is designed for all competitors to have fun, meet new friends and get a real sense of achievement by taking part and hopefully finishing The Great British Bike Ride.
