Nomura and Rainbow, a new force together
Over the next two years, Nomura employees will be involved in special events, bespoke treks and challenges to raise vital funds.
Funds raised by Nomura employees
The money raised by Nomura will fund a brand new Central London care team of Family Support Workers providing vital help to families facing the heart-breaking news that their child might die. This new Central London team will work from a community based office to support 200 families. The funds will also cover a new fleet of vehicles to provide flexible, reliable hospital transport for the whole family.
This new team will:
• Give dying children the chance to live their last days with their family, at home, rather than in a sterile hospital environment.
• Enable Rainbow Trust to support 20 per cent more families than we currently do.
Nomura's support will help more families like Malachi's. Malachi is 3 years old and suffering from a brain tumour which has left him blind. Rainbow gives his family the strength and belief that they can cope. Read more about Malachi here.
Heather Wood, Rainbow Trust Chief Executive, said; "We are thrilled that Nomura employees have chosen to support Rainbow Trust, especially during this difficult economic climate. Their support will make a massive difference and together we can fulfil our promise and our vision to help as many families as possible."
