Recycling mobile phones
Did you know that there are 60 million unused mobile phones in the UK and only 10% of these are currently being recycled?
By sending in any unwanted mobile phones to Rainbow, we can recycle them and receive £3.50 per phone, no matter how old it is! Last year Rainbow Trust supporters recycled over 2,200 mobile phones and raised over £8,000!
Donating your mobile phone is easy, you can request freepost envelopes or you could arrange a larger scale recycling initiative in your office.
Recycling jewellery
Whether you have a broken watch, a ring with a missing stone or a necklace that hasn't seen the light of day for many years - your unwanted jewellery can make all the difference. We can recycle gold, silver, costume jewellery - even ornaments or cutlery.
Rainbow can send you everything you need to run a jewellery recycling campaign in your office. All you have to do is:
- Email the whole organisation to tell them about the campaign and ask them to get involved.
- Put the blue recycling sack we will send you in the coffee lounge, canteen or a communal area to collect the jewellery.
- Pin the poster above the blue bag
- Once the sack is full call us for a free collection.
Foreign Coin Collections
Whilst many families can go away during half term, Easter or the summer holidays, families with a sick child are often unable to be too far from their treatment centre, or their child may be too sick and unable to travel, or their treatment regime may be too involved. This summer why not offer your employees, customers or passengers the opportunity to turn their unwanted foreign coins into sterling and help Rainbow Trust Children's Charity offer families with a terminally ill child a chance to rest, recuperate and have fun like any other family in one of our Respite Homes?
