What we do
Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity provides practical and emotional support to families when their child has a life threatening or terminal illness. Our support lasts from diagnosis throughout treatment, to bereavement or recovery and beyond. Immediate help is on hand through our eight teams of Family Support Workers operating from bases across the country.

Rainbow Trust's Family Support Workers join the family in their own home and are there to provide whatever practical support is needed. They may attend hospital appointments with parents, sit by the bedside of the sick child to give parents a break and take worried siblings out for the day.
How your fundraising makes a difference
The money you raise for Rainbow Trust will be spent where it is most needed; here are some examples of how you will make a difference:
- £18 creates an arts and craft session
- £20 pays for a sick child and their family to attend a hospital appointment
- £150 pays for a day trip for a worried and lonely sibling
- £540 covers one month’s running costs of our 24 hour telephone helpline
- £800 pays for 44 hours of care from a Family Support Worker
