What we doRainbow Trust Children’s Charity provides practical and emotional support to families when their child has a life threatening or terminal illness. Our support lasts from diagnosis throughout treatment, to bereavement or recovery and beyond. Immediate help is on hand through our eight teams of Family Support Workers operating from bases across the country.
HistoryOur founder Bernadette Cleary, her husband and her three sons had provided a temporary foster home to 53 children before setting up Rainbow Trust in 1986. The charity was established after Bernadette helped two close friends through the terminal illnesses of their children.
