The Gibbins FamilyNikolai Gibbins was just two and a half when he was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia. After the dreadful diagnosis, Mum Isabel got in touch with Rainbow. She had heard about Rainbow Trust through her neighbour whose son had leukaemia a few years before and they described the support as invaluable. With difficult months of treatment ahead, the Gibbins family took great comfort in the help of their Family Support Worker Dawn.
The Kelly family storyHarriet Kelly was just two when she was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma stage four; a rare and aggressive childhood cancer of the nerve cells. Harriet went into remission for two years but then the tumours returned. This time, the doctors could do very little for her and she died aged six. Here, her parents describe their ‘girly girl’ and a love of everything pink.
